Diode laser hair removal

The efficacy of the treatment is defined by the fact that the diode laser is the latest generation of hair removal, which is very useful in that it cuts down and eliminates as much as 80% of hair, leaving only 20% of fine, practically invisible hair.

For it to be truly effective, certain basic rules must be followed not only by the beauty salon, but also by the client. Therefore, before the treatment, hair bleaching should be avoided, nor should waxing or tweezing be used, nor should tanning creams be used, nor should sun rays or lamps be used; saunas or similar treatments should be avoided; perfumes should not be used and photosensitising drugs should not be ingested.

The definition of permanence of diode laser hair removal, on the other hand, is given by the fact that the treatment is able to achieve long-lasting results if one undergoes about 6 or 8 sessions, which are necessary to cut down the hair to the desired percentage.

To maintain this result over time, it is however necessary to undergo a maintenance session once a year, bearing in mind that these results and the number of sessions may vary slightly, depending on certain specific characteristics, i.e. gender, area to be depilated, age and hormonal characteristics.

Effective and permanent, the diode laser follows the principle of selective photothermolysis: this means that results can be achieved thanks to the fact that the light vigour emitted by the instrument is captured by melanin and converted into heat, acting selectively on the hair bulb.

Compared to other treatments, therefore, this one is also more effective in that it does not disperse its energy onto the surrounding tissues, but only selects the hair bulb, and this is certainly good for the health of the skin itself, which is not affected in any way.

Thanks to selective photothermolysis, it is suitable for all phototypes, including dark hair. Only VI phototypes without a contrast between hair and skin, and people with white, grey, red or blond hair types cannot undergo the treatment.

The treatment is simple, quick and painless.

Bearing in mind that the treatment can also be customised on the basis of certain parameters that may vary in terms of time, modalities and duration, a session follows the following procedures:
Cleansing and cleaning of the area to be treated; Shortening of the hair (only if the client has not done so, as advised, a few days earlier) using a razor and following the direction of the hair: Covering of ephelides, nevi, tattoos or dark spots on the skin with the support of a white pencil; Application of the gel on the skin; Covering and protection of the eyes both for the person performing the treatment and for the person undergoing it, using special glasses; Covering of the handpiece with transparent film; Passing of the handpiece over the area to be treated, with a rotating movement, for at least three times; Removal of the gel; Application of the soothing product on the treated area.
